The Ngongotaha Rotorua Rail Trust Park is a miniature railway ride which is an absolute favourite with the kids, as is the trout hatchery which opens for children’s fishing days. It is the world-famous fishing perhaps, where the village is most revered. The Ngongotaha stream is the largest tributary to Lake Rotorua and during the spawning season has huge numbers of monster trout moving upstream from the lake to spawn.
